How to Installing Internet Explorer on Linux

After migration from Microsoft Windows to Ubuntu Linux, I have some problem, my problem is quite simple. For some web designer like me, Internet Explorer is must have application. Why? because in this internet world. Internet Explorer still the highest user and if we design some layout and didn’t check it in Internet Explorer, will be big problem if we released or give to our customer.

Then I decide to googling and find out the solutions about it. After googling for a while I found some solutions about it. We can use Wine HQ, or use Commercial version of CodeWeavers Product (Crossover) I think both of this application is good enough. And I will try the option one. Installing Internet Explorer with Wine HQ.

If you want to do it, just follow this instructions and you’ll have Internet Explorer installed in your machine.

How to Blending from One Image to Another

In this Adobe Photoshop tutorial, I will show you how to bleding Image to Another, just follow my instructions,

1. Select the top layer (floral) and choose Layer > Add Layer Mask > Reveal All.

Layer masks
You can create layer masks two ways. Choose Add Layer Mask from the Layers menu. Or you can create a selection and choose Select > Save Selection. Instead of creating a new channel, choose the mask option from the Channel pop-up menu.

2. With the layer mask selected, choose the gradient tool and create a gradient. Make sure your foreground and background colors are black and white. Remember that you are drawing on a layer mask that is grayscale. The areas that are white and gray will reveal the color image. The areas that are solid black will block it out.

Gradients
You can use any anglefor your layer mask gradient. If you want a small transition area with larger solid areas of the two images, draw the gradient vector well inside the image areas instead of from edge to edge.

3. You may want to experiment with different midpoints for the blend. Doubleclick the gradient tool icon to bring up the Gradient Tool Options palette. Select Edit, and here you can set the midpoint. Then redraw the gradient in the layer mask.

And Done ;)

How To Fix Error on Advanced-Admin-Menus

Advanced-Admin-Menus Plugin is great, but you need to tweak it before you use in your own WordPress, why need to tweak? For some WordPres users, default installation not on root folder, like me sometimes I put my WordPress installation outside from my blog (example wp directory)

Advanced-Admin-Menus will be broken if you install and activated the plugins, if you have cases like what I do. Let’s make this word on your WordPress, just edit aamenus.php and find this line

$plugin_uri= trailingslashit(get_option('home')) . 'wp-content/plugins/' . $dir;

edit with this code

$plugin_uri= trailingslashit(get_bloginfo(’wpurl’)) . ‘wp-content/plugins/’ . $dir;

That’s all and you’re done.
