Nexus is a cell phone the most interesting towards the end of 2009, primarily due to have emerged the picture cell phone on the internet and make widely publicized wanted to know. But surprisingly, the Google operating system which provides the cell phone, not so much respond. Nexus operates cell phone operating system Android with the latest version of Google, which is Android 2.1. Cell phone is in production and design by HTC, smart cell vendors from Taiwan.

Engadget : Google Nexus One

The HTC-built and (soon to be) Google-sold device runs Android 2.1 atop a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU, a 3.7-inch, 480 x 800 display, has 512MB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, and a 4GB microSD card (expandable to 32GB). The phone is a T-Mobile device (meaning no 3G if you want to take it to AT&T), and includes the standard modern additions of a light sensor, proximity sensor, and accelerometer. The Nexus One has a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, and we have to say so far the pictures it snaps look pretty decent (and the camera software is much faster than the same component on the Droid).

As you can see, the Google Phone, which is apparently being called the “Nexus One” (for more on that, see here), does look exactly like the HTC Passion, which everyone was including in their posts earlier. You’ll also notice that there’s a key difference: It’s not HTC-branded at all.

  • More on Tour Features

    The Record Tour is a major new feature in GE 5. Here’s Google’s post about the Touring. This post is by Googler Dan Barcay who was a prime player in the tour feature development. Lots of interesting tips, links to references, and examples. Here are some observations from design expert Richard Treves, including his review after experimenting with the features.

  • World Clock with GE 5

    Barnabu also has developed a cool app taking advantage of GE 5’s ability to support Javascript. You can see timezones as an overlay over the Earth, click on a specific time zone and see a running clock for that location. Very slick!

  • UK Snow Animation

    James Stafford produces some slick KML using Google Earth 5’s new time animation slider. He’s taken data during the snowstorm in the UK this week from Twitter to produce an animation showing the number of tweets over time about the snowfall. His post includes a video or the KML which you can load in GE 5.

  • New GPS Support

    Google eliminated the Google Earth Plus product in December. The GPS support in Plus is now available in the free version of Google Earth. FreeGeographyTools was probably first in commenting on this, and here’s Google’s post about it.

Features

  1. It works as a location bar AND a search box – It’ll autocomplete URLs and you can use TAB to search any website using Site Search.
  2. The tab key has special functionality beyond just site search. It is equivalent to “search in this context”: you’ll see that the results of a contextual search include related items, contents, and actions.
  3. Calculation, Weather, and Definition one boxes will show up periodically. More are on the way. What else would you expect to see?
  4. If you enable it, spotlight results will show up. Usually these are relegated to the “More” section at the bottom of the window, but once you use these items, they’ll be learned and become much faster to access.

  • Search the web (Type “britney spears”)
  • Start applications (Type “itunes”)
  • Open websites (Type “wikipedia.com”)
  • Search for contacts in Address Book (Type “Bob”)
  • Find files on your computer (Type the filename)
  • Find music (Type the name of a song or artist in your iTunes library)

So, For all of you Mac user, you should download google quick seach this application and replace you Spotlight ;) Because Google Quick Search integrates with Spotlight, so it’s not reinventing the wheel, either. Where it really covers new ground, however, is its integration with Google search.

Google Has New Favicon Again

I don’t know why, but recently when I saw on my URL area on Google Homepage, it’s look like Google change their favicon again. New favicon look more colorful. I don’t know the reason behind it. but I think this charge try to make google more eye catching and have better view to all their customer.
