I have a Canon i470D inkjet and when it starts it gives a 804 error code. Supposedly this may be a message to clear the waste ink tank, but from what I have read you can clear the message via a reset code and continue using the printer.

The flash code (seven yellow, followed by a long green) indicates the waste ink tank is full (or maybe not -see below). Upon releasing the two buttons together (step four) the printer does it's normal initialization dance and then goes or over temperature reading in the print head. The error code does not toggle between green and orange seven time but blinks orage seven times and then green. I may try the head cleaning solution next unless someone has any other ideas.
