How To Uninstall Cooliris from Safari on a Mac

Thursday, October 30th, 2008

My MacBook Pro suddenly become slowly, after I check my activity monitor it’s look like my windowserver running almost 100% CPU load. so I tried to Googling and found the problem happen with my Cooloris/Picles safari plugins. So I decide to uninstall ini. This is the detail instructions how to remove it.

Cooliris is one of these new gadgets that sound cool in somebody’s blog review, but do not live up to an expectation when actually used. Let alone that it is not nearly as useful as it claims to be, Cooliris has been reported to significantly slow down Safari on Macs. Specifically – when viewing FLASH videos like on YouTube. These fellas must have done something terribly wrong.

In any case, the real sad part is – they don’t have any human way of uninstalling it. So here is a quick tutorial of how to remove this weed from your computer and let your Safari breath again:

Close Safari
Trash the Cooliris Previews folder found in $LIBRARY/InputManagers/)
Trash the cooliris’ .plugin file found in $LIBRARY/Internet Plugins
Depending on whether you installed Cooliris for just your user or system-wide, substitute $LIBRARY with /Users//Library or /System/Library.

Hope this works for you, too. I hope this tips. Because it work perfect on me ;)

What’s Up on MacBook Pro?

Precision aluminum. The new gold standard.
Carved from a single block of aluminum, the new MacBook Pro unibody enclosure is slim and streamlined with a soft-brushed surface and stunning contours. But it’s not all about beauty. The unibody also makes MacBook Pro more durable than ever. You can throw it in your briefcase or messenger bag and pull it out at an airport, in a hotel room, or on location without a second thought. So wherever you go, you have everything you need to edit, compose, design, and create.

Brilliant brilliance.
The moment you open your MacBook Pro you’re greeted by glorious, full screen brightness. But that’s only one gleaming quality of the glossy LED-backlit widescreen display. The picture is brilliant and sharp from corner to corner. And anything you view — including the ultrathin display itself — is a spectacular experience. The seamless glass enclosure makes this display stronger and more durable. It’s more power efficient and mercury- and arsenic-free, so it’s greener than ever.

Graphics in full force.
The new MacBook Pro reaches a new level of high-speed, high-end game-playing power. Not to mention pure performance for graphics-intensive applications like Aperture and Motion. Use the new NVIDIA GeForce 9400M integrated graphics processor for great everyday performance with up to five hours of battery life.1 Or switch to the discrete NVIDIA 9600M GT graphics processor for the fastest, smoothest, clearest graphics yet.

Even the keyboard is advanced.
The rigid aluminum keyboard webbing has been cut precisely to hold the keys. And the keys are curved to perfectly fit fingers. The result? Pure typing bliss. The keyboard is also illuminated, so when you’re in low-light settings, such as airplanes or conference rooms, you can always see what you’re typing.

It all just clicks.
The first thing you might notice — or not notice — is the missing click button. Now the entire trackpad is the button, so you can click anywhere. Without a separate button, your hands have 39 percent more room to move on the large, silky glass surface. Use two fingers to scroll up and down a page. Pinch to zoom in and out. Rotate an image with your fingertips. Swipe with three fingers to flip through your photo libraries. Swipe with four fingers to show your desktop, view all open windows, or switch applications. If you’re coming from a right-click world, you can right-click with two fingers or configure a right-click area on the trackpad. The more you use the Multi-Touch trackpad, the more you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.

And many more For you Apple lover you will satisfied with it ;)

Wow, LG announces Prada II!

Monday, October 13th, 2008

I got this news from EnGadget. That LG has been announces Prada II. I think it’s will be good and will try to defeat iPhone ;)

We think that phones like the Touch Pro and X1 sort of limit the market for pricey dumbphone QWERTY sliders, but be that as it may, LG clearly has every intention of making the Prada II one of its headline devices in the waning months of 2008. The rumored 7.2Mbps HSDPA 850 / 2100, WiFi, TV-out, an FM radio, and a 5-megapixel camera have all been confirmed to go along with the full keyboard for a launch in Europe in the end of October or beginning of November, running something in the range of €600 (about $816). Don’t get us wrong, it looks alright — but would this be your first choice of ways to part with the better part of a grand?
